My Story

I'm on a mission to make sure talented professionals are no longer the best-kept secret at work – so they get recognized, get promoted, and become impossible to ignore.

For a long time, I did strong work, was prepared, and patiently waited my turn...

... and I watched others move ahead while I stayed invisible.

The transformation came when I stopped being a passive participant in my career and started taking ownership of how I showed up. I started managing up, making my work visible instead of waiting for it to be noticed, and positioning myself as the obvious choice for the next role.

Within a year, I was promoted to Director, learned to speak publicly despite deep nerves and introversion, and built a side business alongside my full-time job.

Then, in late 2022, I was laid off. That side business became RISE Learning Solutions, built on more than a decade of experience as a founding editor at LinkedIn, Prezi, and other leading tech companies.

Today, I speak at organizations like Amazon, Zoom, and Cisco, teach on platforms like MasterClass and LinkedIn Learning, and create content and courses for global companies and brands.

My #1 bestselling book, Unforgettable Presence®, is the resource I wish I had when I felt overlooked. It’s written for professionals who want to show up with clarity, confidence, and intention without becoming louder, more performative, or someone they’re not.
